It is a pre-existence, without historical value, located in northern Portugal, on the bank of the Douro river. We decided to demolish it to build a new volume, where we kept its original deployment.

We closed the house to the street and opened it completely to the river. We designed a mezzanine apartment where light would invade the entire space through a double-height glazing.
With a deployment area of 150 m2, the house is a large open space, covered with black slate tiles and white painted facades, with ETICS system.
Nonarquitetura
Graduated in 1998 from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto.
He has collaborated in several architectural offices in Oporto. Established on his own since 2012. He began developing projects in the field of tourism in rural areas, then single-family housing, hotels and nursing homes. He sees architecture as a participatory and collaborative act.
