Designed to ensure privacy, low maintenance, and an inviting space for gatherings with
friends and family, Floreira House stands out in a condominium in Porto Feliz, São Paulo’s
countryside. Architects Matheus Farah and Manoel Maia envisioned the residence with a
vast rear garden on its 3,182 sqm plot, serving as the heart of the project.

On the upper floor, elongated suspended metal planters frame the entire external area, softening material transitions and reinforcing the connection with the lush surroundings—an element that inspired the house’s name.

In addition to its vibrant landscaping with trees and shrubs, the garden features a spacious
pool seamlessly integrated with social areas such as the living room, dining room, and office. Expansive glass panels provide full openness to the outdoors, creating a large veranda with seamless visual flow. Meanwhile, functional areas, including the kitchen, laundry room, gym, sauna, and changing rooms, are enclosed by concrete walls, ensuring privacy and practicality.

The first floor houses the private quarters, comprising six suites. Five of them receive natural light filtered through dark aluminum brise-soleils, offering distinct views and enhanced thermal comfort. Positioned at the far end of the structure, the master suite opens up to the garden and includes a private balcony, allowing for tranquil views of the pool and the surrounding landscape.

The interior design embraces neutral tones and minimalist finishes, highlighting furniture
pieces by renowned Brazilian designers such as Jorge Zalszupin, Sergio Rodrigues, Jader
Almeida, and Carlos Motta.

Smart Construction and Sustainability

Aiming for a streamlined project with simplified execution, the architects opted for
prefabricated and industrialized materials, minimizing construction waste. The facade
integrates concrete panels molded with wood textures and varying tones to distinguish the
different volumes of the structure.

Beyond its architectural choices, the project prioritizes sustainability with an automated
irrigation system for the garden and pre-installed infrastructure for photovoltaic panels.
Additionally, the lighting in the social areas and the master suite is adjustable, allowing for
personalized ambiance settings and enhanced energy efficiency.
