“Our challenge was to create a chamber-like personal space that provides privacy and tranquility in a bustling business center, maximizing the potential of the space with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, while taking into account the life scenarios of each family member,” – Oleg Pigulevskii, Art Director of Antrum Studio.

The owners, a well-traveled, art-collecting couple with a passion for Eastern philosophy, had a clear vision for their interior. It blends right angles and smooth lines graphite tones with contrasting dark accents, and metallic sheen with tactile upholstery and textiles.

The kitchen-living room plays the role of a social center for both family members and guests, we enter it through the hall with contoured geometric lighting designed by the
studio.

In planning the apartment, we made a clear separation of public and private areas, as
well as isolated technical areas and redesigned movement scenarios.

The interior concept is anchored in the principles of balance and proportion, aiming to achieve a harmonious composition without clutter. Drawing inspiration from the philosophy of oriental minimalism, we emphasize the importance of negative space and utilize reduction techniques to foster a sense of inner calm and tranquility. This approach results in a space that is not only visually appealing but also conducive to comfortable living.

“By blending the grace of minimalism philosophy with contemporary trends, our simplified interior not only boasts aesthetic appeal but also offers a tactile experience.” – Oleg Pigulevskii, Art Director of Antrum Studio.

The interior is based on a balance of contrasting elements that create a holistic and visually expressive space.

The interior design blends warm and cold materials, soft and hard textures like wood, metal, and textiles. Soft furniture provides comfort, wood adds warmth, and metal structures define space. Artistic surfaces and tactile objects add depth, playing with light and shadow to enhance sensory experience.

The interior combines two apartments on the same floor and we created a separate entrance. This allowed us to create an ideal layout with a clear separation between public and private areas.

Handcrafted graphite-coated walls and ceiling with a patina effect create a spacious backdrop. Warm wood, cold steel, and soft furniture unify the interior.

The interior design emphasizes control over natural and artificial light, accentuating space with carefully curated lighting schemes. Decorative fixtures like Konstantin Grcic’s Noctambule and Massimo Castagna’s Henge pendant transform the ambiance, while the Stealth LED floor lamp provides focused illumination in the study. Our unique “Construction 3” sconce merges functionality with artistry, crafted from hand-made glass panels and stainless steel, with compact LEDs. This contrasting combination transforms it into a captivating wall light installation.

In the living room, the Ditre Italia sofa stands out with its elegance, complemented by
the Baxter coffee table and a custom metal TV block. The dining area features a Porada transformer table and a Henge lamp, symbolizing the heart of the home. In the study, a cozy upholstered group contrasts with a rugged steel shelving unit, alongside a Baxter cabinet and a Ditre Italia chair by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti.
