Situated in one of Beirut’s historical neighborhoods, the challenge of this apartment was to answer the client’s brief by minimizing the intervention on the existing layout and respecting the traditional Lebanese typology look and feel.

The approach was to keep the traditional functionality of a typical Lebanese house with a central reception space and rooms spread around, adding modern fit-outs in order to highlight the contrast between the existing and new and some mid-century elements to balance the equation.
