There is a particular discipline in designing light for compact spaces: the challenge of achieving presence without imposing scale. With Planets MINI, Czech lighting house Brokis answers this challenge. The latest evolution of the brand’s celebrated Planets family, the new collection preserves the engineering sophistication of the original while adapting to both the realities of standard interiors: lower ceilings, tighter volumes, and the intimate proportions of a bedroom or private dining room.
Project Name: Brokis PLANETS MINI to India
Studio Name: Innovative Design Studio (IDG)

Planets MINI is now exclusively available in India through Innovative Design Studio.
Conceived by the acclaimed Prague-based duo Vrtiška & Žák, the new collection arrives in three elemental geometries: sphere, cone, and capsule. Each form is resolved with the same geometric clarity that has made Brokis a reference point for specifiers across hospitality, residential, and cultural projects worldwide.

What distinguishes Planets MINI technically is the retention of the brand’s signature counterweight and pulley mechanism. This system allows each pendant to be repositioned with a single hand — a significant advantage in dining and hospitality settings where lighting levels and compositions shift with use. The counterweights are calibrated precisely to the mass of each individual fixture, ensuring that adjustments remain smooth and that every pendant holds position without drift. Clusters of up to twelve lights can be assembled into constellations that read as a unified composition from any angle.

The diffusion is handled by a round LED panel concealed beneath a matte glass shade, casting an ambient glow that dissolves entirely into the surface of the glass. There are no visible mechanical elements and no interruption of silhouette. Matte metal hardware and monochromatic textile cables complete the aesthetic with an understated coherence that works equally across contemporary, mid-century, and transitional interiors.
