In terms of urban insertion, there is a special concern with the fact that it is a corner located in a relevant axis of the city, especially in recent years when there has been an expansion and development in the city. In view of this, we opted to design an iconic and unique building that would fit into the landscape characterized mainly by residential buildings developed in height, marked mainly by horizontal lines.
In addition to its insertion into the surrounding buildings, consideration was given to the widening and importance of the crossing towards Avenida da Boavista, resulting in the use of glass alternating with aluminum panels, creating a rhythm to the façade that, in turn, it is thickened by the slight torsion of each of the floors, thus introducing a unanimous, dynamic and agitated reading of the construction, celebrating the energetic urban life.
The design options, namely those related to the organization of the interior space, were, naturally, taken according to the function that one wants to assign to the building. With clean lines and minimalist environments, each apartment is equipped with amenities to live a city life, without giving up comfort and peace.
In conclusion, the Building on Rua da Boavista is a hymn to the city of Porto, merging the tradition of a quiet portuguese city, with the contemporary city life.
