By the perimeters of the first floor there are vast window areas where working tables are placed. The centre of the space is occupied by an architectural promenade made of cubes folded in raw materials to accent the industrial character of this part of the city: stone, concrete brick, woodwork, curved perforated metal sheets, transparent glass. The cubes contain toilets, auditoriums, staircases, the director’s office, a printing corner, meetup table, a Zen room and a closed assembly room. To maximize the usage of the common paths those cubes extend into them: the attic staircase becomes an open auditorium, the glass meeting room that was later occupied by a coffee roaster extends with coffee beans bags near working tables, the meetup table as the centre piece enables informal gathering and exchange of employees’ experience and ideas…

Startups are two brands: rough »Goat story« that innovates the coffee experience and more feminine »Equa« that creates a new dimension of hydration. A series of cubes in the central space is therefore interrupted by a subtle, feminine, organic »amoeba« that breaks the rhythm (and mimics staircase on the facade, added before our intervention).

The company covers design, development, advertising and sales, as well as the assembly of products of the Goat and Equa brands, so the departments are capable of constantly expanding or contracting. The installations follow this dynamic to enable flexibility of workplaces – to such an extent that when at the end of the renovation works, a coffee roaster room could be installed without major interventions. Greenery, free-standing lights and acoustic barriers offer flexibility and privacy to sets of tables.

The rooms in the attic are intended for socializing, informal meetings, a rooftop terrace and a photo studio. The Equa and Goat brands are indicated by the full volume of the feminine kitchen and dematerialized steel frame bar, connected by a movable kitchen island and lightweight tables.

The restrained industrial aesthetics are a response to the character of the building and, in combination with its design, provides a tabula rasa for the creative charge of the company.
