It is innovative and rich when it comes to history, your days will become nights and your nights will become your daylight.
Architecture is everywhere, wherever you look the significance and importance of architecture in our lives are so obvious that we become so used to it that sometimes people ignore it and mistake it as something irrelevant and expensive to serve its purpose. When you go to college/university to study architecture your vision about it will immediately change that you will feel so protective of it. Like a mother to her children, your burning desire to make architecture widely known is there in your heart that is starting to make you mad whenever you hear news about a historical structure being torn down because it was neglected too long.
Learning architecture and its technical importance in our daily lives make you proud. Making drawings freehand is one of the most exciting yet painful whenever you have to do drafting work for your major subject but the fulfillment is there whenever you look at it, whenever you finish it and show it to your professor. Your hands might be shaky because you were exhausted from drawing and doing research all day but at the end of the day, you will realize you are where you are because you wanted it.
Being young means being aggressive when it comes to learning new things, being in college around strangers learning new things is fun. Making miniatures and plans to compete in celebration of architecture is a breath of fresh air. But just like the fast pacing world we are living in, architecture is innovating too. Making drawings digitally is fun and makes your young heart flutters because finally no more buying of expensive technical pens and tracing papers or vellum sheets. You can immediately correct your mistakes without spending a lot of money, without wasting another sheet of paper.
What makes architecture more fun is the different initiatives that are implemented by different famous architectural firms around the country. You will meet and have a chance to attend seminars with international architects that are young and famous but are making names in the field of architecture. Even architects that are also educators teaching architecture subjects in the country’s well-known university are present to give motivation to the architecture students telling stories and struggles in the profession but continue to support and make the architecture profession an A-class profession.
Architecture is not just about drawings and aesthetics architecture is deeper than that. Anyone can draw, anyone could make a 3D model, tutorial videos are everywhere on the internet. Anyone could learn through the online platform because it’s free and informative. But it takes one person who has learned architecture professionally to create plans and drawings with substance, with the thoughts of planning a comfortable space or home concerning the user’s need, and most important is to plan and draw concerning the allied profession.
Work ethics (Processional Practice) is one of the most strict subjects that is being taught to architecture students. A very young individual who wanted to enter the architecture profession must be aware of the professional practice and its corresponding regulations. Learning things about the profession professionally is both amazing and jaw-dropping. It is top of the hierarchy when it comes to design, now it is up to the younger generation on how they are going to continue it. That responsibility itself is one of the highlights of being an architect. As a student, you know you are a part of something that will last forever, something that will continue through the years.
