An architect’s view is a term where the things around them are no longer normal but are filled with details, designs, structure, creativity, and so on. In the era of becoming an architect, people change their perspective of looking at things around them. The neglected spaces that are crossed in their day-to-day life are now spaces with more potential for society. The perception of the spaces, buildings, and detailing is now filled with architectural terms and detailing.

Architecture’s perception towards Society:

Architecture has the power to mold the future of cities through constantly changing perspectives.

Spatial: One may experience the sacred feeling while visiting religious structures and the sense of community in the urban parks. All these emotional changes are found due to the change of perception in the spaces.

Cultural uniqueness: The heritage structures are the ones that reflect the importance of the country’s cultural identity. The architectural style, design, ornamentation involved, materials used, and the planning of the structure are all important to find one’s cultural significance.

Social: The public gathering spaces that have been designed in a city play an important role in shaping the city, the once-ignored spaces are identified and revitalized for the people to use and foster a sense of community engagement. These spaces may include urban parks, urban squares, urban plazas, and even urban nodes.

Sustainability: Due to the constantly changing perception of one’s view, architecture also evolved during the ages, people tend to change the architectural style and now there is a shift from conventional building techniques to sustainable practices, where people carry out practice sustainable methods like using local materials and also involves the mix of the spaces with the natural environment where people gets the sense of relaxation and also increase productivity.

Creativity and technology: The creativity and innovation with the new emerging technologies are incredible since we have a lot of perceptions to work on using these technologies and making them come true. The creative perspective of the Architects is coming to life using these new technologies in a lot easier manner.

Before and After Architecture:

Before Architecture:

People before enrolling in architecture don’t entertain or notice the finest detail which is in front of them. Having trips to scenic places and filming those are the best memories. Getting in nice outfits and getting ready are the priorities of the trip. People may lose their sleep to enjoy or have fun with friends. People choose the streets to play cricket or other games with their friends. People take pictures of them whenever they see a beautiful mural or wall. People observe only the beautiful structures around them. People enter the temple to get a sacred feeling. People appreciate a structure based on their appearance or façade designs.

After Architecture:

After enrolling in architecture people start to notice, examine, and analyze things before them. People carry out architectural trips to see buildings and architecture incorporated into them. Filming and capturing the architectural beauty of the structures. Getting sketchpads and different HB pencils is the priority. People lose their sleep to analyze, solve, and design things. Choose streets to check the existing state or situation of the streets, persuade people to find out the issues on the streets to solve, and propose designs. People start touching the walls to feel the texture used in them. The observation and exploration skills have increased a lot and people get excited over old broken structures and small details of the structures. People visit temples to study the architectural marvels created by our ancestors. People analyze the materials, functionality of spaces, color, texture, structural system, design, spatial layout, etc, in the building and appreciate it.

Architect’s perception on different perspectives of spaces:

The opportunity to design in architecture has various sectors and varying perspectives towards it.

Residential Sector: The design of residential spaces concentrates more on the needs, privacy, and comfort of the client. The usage of the spaces is well designed.

Commercial Sector: The design of the commercial sector involves more dedication toward the image of commercial buildings like cafes, restaurants, offices, and retail stores. The commercial architect here takes factors like location, branding, accessibility, and future expansions into account to design effectively and to promote the building. The perception towards designing such sectors includes the workflow, customer experience, and identity of the organization.

Educational Sector: The design of the educational sector involves designing school buildings and universities. The architect thinks from the perspective of students and designs the layout of where the classrooms, laboratories, and libraries should be placed according to the student’s needs. They also concentrate on creating an environment that increases the concentration and productivity of the students.

Cultural Sector: The design of the cultural sector involves designing museums, theatres, galleries, etc. Here the architect designs a space where a large number of people can be accommodated. Here the acoustics and lighting are more concentrated.

Healthcare Sector: The design of the healthcare sector involves designing hospitals, medical offices, and clinics. A patient’s comfort, care, health, and safety are top priorities when an architect designs a building with intensive care towards these factors.

Public spaces: The design of public spaces includes designing public parks, public squares, and public plazas. The architect focuses on creating an inclusive recreation space, promoting community engagement, and encourages a sense of safety.

Everyone has different perspectives towards everything in the world. Ultimately an architect has a crucial role in shaping both the physical and social fabric of society for the better future of the cities. One right, futuristic, and empathetic perception of the design can change the whole lifestyle of the city. Architecture is a righteous profession to do that.
