Project Name: Surrey Roof Garden
Studio Name: Mylandscapes LTD

The custom-fitted planters zone 3 key areas for modern sculpture, aligned symmetrically within trough enclosures as engaging focal points.

Our clients have uprooted the country into a modern apartment from a large house, where the roof garden is of great importance for well-being, outdoor life & revelling in artworks.

The planters are made from aluminium and powder-coated in 2 matching tones. The walls were painted in a Tuscan red colour which creates architectural shadows as the sun moves above the rooftop, projecting through tree branches.

There’s many culinary herbs scattered beneath trees & shrubs, with a profusion of ornamental grasses, while 11 tree species include Japanese snowbell, Persian ironwood, Chilean myrtle, Witch hazel, Euonymus, Cotoneaster, Osmanthus, Cornus, Azara, Amelanchier & Paperbark maple. The trees are grown in multi-stemmed forms to provide graceful contours & wind tolerance in this very exposed setting.
