    Rajwada Palace: The famous Rajwada Palace, a representation of the former ruling Holkar dynasty in the area, might be the starting point of the heritage tour. A mix of Maratha, Mughal, and French architectural styles can be seen in this spectacular palace.     Kaanch Mandir: The renowned Kaanch Mandir (Glass Temple), a Jain temple renowned for its amazing construction, is the next place on the list. The temple is totally decorated with beautiful elaborate glasswork, as suggested by its name. Glass mosaics, mirrors, and vibrant glass panels are used to decorate the walls, ceilings, pillars, and even the flooring, producing a mesmerising play of light and reflections.     Krishnapura Chhatris: The Krishnapura Chhatris, a collection of cenotaphs erected in honour of the Holkar kings, is another masterpiece of Indore’s architecture. These beautiful buildings showcase a fusion of Rajput and Maratha architectural designs. The chhatris are a gorgeous sight, decorated with fine carvings, domes, and spires, and placed against a calm lake.

    Annapurna Temple: If one continues their historical tour, the temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess of sustenance is the next stop on the schedule. This temple has a distinctive architectural design that combines elements of South Indian and Maratha temple architecture. It is a visual delight with its tall shikharas (spires), finely carved pillars, and vibrant murals devoted to Annapurna Devi, the Hindu goddess of food.     Gandhi Hall: The historic Gandhi Hall, a notable monument in Indore, can serve as the heritage walk’s end destination. The Town Hall, a magnificent structure also, has Indo-Gothic architectural elements. It is a well-known sight thanks to its imposing clock tower, graceful arches, and intricate stone carvings.

Along the history walk, one can always see further architectural wonders such havelis (traditional mansions) in the old city district, colonial-era structures, and contemporary buildings that merge in with the city’s historic beauty. The intricate blending of numerous styles and eras in Indore’s architecture reflects the city’s rich tradition and multiculturalism. There are many other architectural wonders and historical relics worth exploring, as these are a few of Indore’s well-known heritage sites.
