To this end, the kitchen has become the heart of the house, as eating and cooking are the most collective and habitual actions of this family. To this end, it has been taken out of the closed and poorly lit room in which it was located and given a spatial quality in keeping with the intensity of its use.

The use and location of the tables has also been rationalised. Previously there were two, the daily table and the occasional table, which occupied a central space but was empty most of the time. Now one is proposed for eating and one for working in the appropriate place.
