1. Beyonce House in Bel Air, CA

Beyonce house Bel Air property was a Colonial Revival mansion before.

This luxurious 1.88-acre Beyonce house was a 9000 sqm Colonial Revival mansion before it was torn down to build the mansion that stands on the land today. This modern hillside mansion is owned by the billionaire duo Beyonce and Jay-Z, consisting of 8 bedrooms, 11 baths, 15-car garages with four pools, and a basketball court. The built area is spread across six structures with a 30,00 sqft living area. This vast mansion is constructed across various levels with a series of defining travertine staircases leading to the spaces. There are infinity pools on the top two levels and the court at the ground level. For the grandeur and scale of the project, one would expect it to be on an isolated hill, but the reality is quite the contrast. The mansion is in close vicinity of the adjacent plots, with trees acting as natural barriers.

The architect of the house loves long skinny swimming pools.

The architect of Beyonce’s house, Paul McClean, is known to love long skinny pools which are reflected in this house. It is evident with the pool on the second level, which lies next to the helipad and an informal dining area for guests. The entrance of this luxurious mansion is as grand and welcoming as the whole structure. With a minimalist landscape and facade, this structure is an amazing example of modern architecture. The interiors are kept classy but highly modern with the latest technology. Unlike the convention, this mansion does not have chandeliers but a play with recessed lights to complement the architectural style. The bathrooms are well-equipped with advanced fixtures. The luxury continues even in the bathrooms with faucets and fixtures from the Italian brand Gessi. It has Calcutta marble flooring and solid bronze limestone sinks.

The house exhibits a singly carved wooden staircase.

The masterpiece staircase is known to have been carved out of a single piece of wood before being lined with dark brown leather. The actual steps on this magnificent circular staircase are made of limestone. In addition to the many grand features, there is a spa area with two steam rooms made out of marble featuring a plunge pool in between them. To accommodate the sharp and edgy exteriors, the architects decided to blend the structure with lush landscapes and infinity pools in various places. This gives the entire mansion a ‘floating on water’ element that allows it to stand out.
