This hospitality project is located deep within the pristine forests of Uttarakhand, surrounded by untouched natural landscape and abundant peace. The vision behind the project is to create a retreat that offers an immersive hospitality experience while preserving the ecology, natural terrain, and cultural identity of the region.

The major challenge of the project was to build in a remote forest environment without disturbing the existing ecosystem. Our design approach focuses on minimum site intervention, sustainable building practices, and sensitivity to the region’s biodiversity. The structures are carefully placed to follow the natural contours of the land, avoiding unnecessary cutting or leveling. Existing trees, slopes, and water channels are retained as key design elements.
Local craftsmanship and vernacular building materials such as stone, seasoned timber, mud plaster, slate roofing, and bamboo are used in combination with modern structural systems. This hybrid approach ensures durability, safety, and comfort while maintaining the aesthetic authenticity of the region. Modular and pre-assembled components reduce on-site construction disturbance and transportation footprint.
The spatial planning follows the concept of blending built form into nature. Open terraces, uninterrupted forest views, natural ventilation, and minimal artificial lighting contribute to an environment where guests can reconnect with nature. The structures weave into the landscape, offering privacy, tranquility, and a deep connection to the forest.
The project aims to provide a premium yet grounded hospitality experience where sustainability and comfort co-exist. Guests are invited to experience serenity, ecological harmony, and contemporary amenities within a pristine forest setting. The retreat demonstrates how architecture can celebrate local heritage and support responsible tourism while preserving the fragile mountain ecology of Uttarakhand.
