Composed of aluminium discs arranged in descending sizes, Macchina della Luce captivates with its meditative simplicity, precision and poetic impact. Each disc is meticulously hand-finished with gold leaf, transforming the light into a radiant jewel that glows from the ceiling.
Designed by Enzo Catellani, the creation embodies his exploration of light’s colour and emotion. By fusing the warmth of the sun and the glow of fire, he crafts an illumination that gently envelops its surroundings. Rooted in the principles of refraction, Macchina della Luce symbolises the perfect harmony between form and function, and a serene dialogue between art and technology.
Available in gold, silver and copper finishes, this timeless icon combines sculptural elegance with advanced performance. It has been upgraded with a newly developed LED module designed to deliver exceptional lighting quality and a richer, more natural perception of light than traditional halogen sources. The fixture also offers various lumen options and dimmable settings, ensuring versatility across spaces.
