Oorjaa, in collaboration with Godrej Lab, Conscious Collective, introduces Nexus, a new collection that turns waste into design. It encourages us to rethink what we throw away.

At the core of Nexus is a strong belief: to go beyond the linear cycle of consumption – extract, use, discard, and accept circularity. In this model, every material can be renewed.

Nexus is made from discarded copper wire, graphite dust, synthetic varnish, banana fiber paper, and faux cement from quarry waste. Each piece, whether it is a sculptural light or a wall panel, serves as a connection between industry and craft. They are carefully handwoven to resemble jewel-like forms. Suspended rings and porous surfaces create a light feeling while symbolizing the deep links between nature, creativity, and industrial development.

“In a world where waste increases faster than nature can recover, Nexus pushes us to view discarded materials not as an end, but as the start of another story,” says Jenny Pinto, Founder, Oorjaa. “It reminds us that sustainability and beauty can exist together, woven through craft and responsibility.”

More than just items, Nexus makes a statement. It invites us to open our minds, close loops, and adopt a future where sustainability is a way of life, not an option.
