Oorjaa, a design studio rooted in sustainable practice and handcrafted process, introduces the Kishi and Cascade pendant lamps, two striking additions to its Fibre Fables collection. Known for creating lighting that is both sculptural and grounded in material consciousness, Oorjaa continues to reimagine how craft, nature, and design come together.

The Fibre Fables collection exudes a quiet, rustic character, shaped by the interplay of woven textures and raw materiality. A collaboration between banana fibre weave and faux concrete, each piece is crafted to illuminate residential or hospitality spaces with warmth and intention.

The Cascade pendant lamp emulates the fluid motion of a river descending a mountain. Its flowing weave, handcrafted from water hyacinth fibre, rests against a faux concrete form, an innovative material developed by Oorjaa by blending water hyacinth with quarry waste.

The result is both textured and resilient. In the Kishi pendant lamp, a clean faux concrete dome is offset by a handwoven water hyacinth collar, bringing together structure and softness in one balanced design. Each element is shaped by hand, allowing natural irregularities to shine through.

At Oorjaa, the making is as vital as the object. Every lamp is the result of slow design, a deliberate, process-led approach that champions waste-free methods, circularity, and the hand of the maker. As homes and spaces shift towards more mindful choices, the Kishi and Cascade lamps offer more than illumination. They bring with them a story of care, material honesty, and poetic craft.
