Inxitis – a trading imagined and executed with the goal of turning the high-intensity world of financial trading into a sharp, immersive spatial experience. Drawing inspiration from the New York Stock Exchange, the space isn’t a direct imitation, but a modern reinterpretation that transforms grit, data, and fast-paced decision-making into a high-functioning, visually compelling environment.

The design brief was crisp: create a space that mirrors the velocity, pressure, and discipline of a trading floor. Our response was equally intentional. We envisioned a space stripped of excess, where design becomes an ally of focus, not a distraction. Every material, line, and surface had to reflect a sense of clarity and confidence. We employed a tight monochrome palette anchored in greys and whites, elevated by deep blues—a nod to the calm amid chaos and the psychological clarity needed for high-stakes trading.
Let’s deep dive into the design Narrative – Zone by Zone
Entrance, Reception & Waiting Area:
The journey begins at a stark, steel-clad main door – reminiscent of vaults and the secrecy of trading rooms setting an unmistakable tempo the moment one arrives.
Modelled after the trading pits of the NYSE, the reception desk wasn’t your usual ‘welcome counter’. Clad in stark grey stainless steel ‘as it is’ and curved with intention, it quietly borrows the rhythm and rigor of auction stations where focus reigns and decisions are swift. A subtle stroke of blue light holder overhead, and just like that, the atmosphere shifts – it sets the tone for the space, quietly echoing the tempo of high-stakes precision. Just how the trading pits are responsible for matching buyers and sellers at the best possible price. Here, our receptionist becomes the matchmaker, pairing visitors (buyers) with the right minds on the trading team, delivering insights that matter and deals worth their weight in value. Beneath it all, a striking, geometric floor pattern custom-crafted to run through the entire space, guiding you to the main areas, carrying the energy and movement of the market underfoot.
Opposite it on the wall, a bold steel bull installation pays homage to the spirit of the market. Much like its legendary cousin standing guard outside the NYSE, this one too embodies strength, optimism and an unwavering charge forward. Beneath it sits a sleek little bench in a tangerine inspired rust crimson – the lone, deliberate splash of colour in an otherwise crisp monochrome and steel-toned canvas. A pause point, a waiting perch, a statement in restraint. Because in a world of trading, you need both – the bull’s unstoppable spirit and a moment to gather your own.
Team Area – Trading Floor:
The nerve centre – where the team sits. Every trader’s desk comes armed with its own market screen overhead, tracking the pulse of the stock world in real time. From the opening bell at 9:15 to the final call at 3:30, this floor hums with ambition, strategy and sharp decisions. By purpose, this space isn’t meant to be cosy – it’s meant to be sharp, crisp and unflinching. White chairs, cool grey desks and walls that dip into deep blue… a palette chosen to cut through comfort and keep the pulse racing.
The custom geometric flooring weaves through it all, grounding the space in rhythm and order, while a cool monochrome palette lets the numbers do the talking. Breaking this calm tonal consistency is a subtle, yet striking detail.
Even within the dark, monochrome palette and the intense, high-energy vibe of the trading floor, there’s a soft contrast – natural light pouring in from a large window. Perched high above the city in a towering high-rise, this office is gifted with sweeping views and bright daylight that effortlessly cuts through the seriousness of the space. As the market’s closing bell rings and the numbers settle, this view offers more than just a backdrop – it’s a breath of calm, a moment to reset. A space to clear the mind, take in the horizon, and recharge after six intense hours of sharp strategy, bold moves, and relentless focus.
Director’s Cabin:
In the world of trading, it’s all about spotting the next big move and sometimes thinking like a bull. We extended the same minimal aesthetic to the director’s cabin – seated inside this focused cabin, eyes on the globe, mind on the market, amidst monochrome calm and crisp geometry. This is where big decisions quietly take shape. We deliberately left this space distraction-free, making room for mental clarity and uninterrupted thought. Even here, the design narrative is consistent—monochrome, focused, and bold.
The Dealing Room (Conference Room):
This is where strategies sharpen, deals close and every number, percentage and possibility is put on the table. A space built for high-energy debates, intense focus and calculated decisions that shape futures.
Staying true to the office’s monochrome palette, this room carries the same grounded rhythm – clean, sharp and intentional. But here too, a bold accent breaks through the quiet: custom overhead lights shaped in the core signs of mathematics. A thoughtful nod to the calculations, formulas and sharp moves that power the trading floor. Lit in signature blue, they quietly echo the pulse of the Sensex and Nifty, adding character without breaking the calm. You’ll spot the minute details on the glass partition of the room. Inspired by insights from the client, this customised design celebrates the rich history of trading in India and across the world. Etched with key milestones, formulas and trading mantras. It’s a reminder of legendary trades made and history waiting to be written.
