It is assumed that the inhabitants of the city will come here every day, using the square of memory for communication, putting their thoughts in order, meditation. And at the same time, they will feel that the souls of the fallen heroes are somewhere nearby, which will be facilitated by the installations described below. Thanks to such interaction, the feat of our compatriots will never be forgotten.

The object presents itself a square of a non-symmetrical shape to be contrasted to the symmetric Maidan Nezalezhnosti. Functionally square consists of memory zone and quiet recreation zone.

The memory zone is a green part of the square with two alleys, where glass steles with names of war heroes and recreation places between trees are installed. It is planned to be planted with small trees or shrubs and forbs. The outside of large parts is raised by 1250 mm to create an inclined relief.

The alley surface is a water-permeable surface with the inclusions of the shining stone. Stones charge from the sun and shine at night, which is similar to Milky Way (Chumatskyi Shlyah in Ukrainian). After all, our ancestors believed – the stars are the souls.

Also in the memory zone are installed male and female silhouettes, reminding about the dead. Technically, it is installations with silhouettes made from dark glass. There are the smoke machine and lighting in the holder area. Heroes do not die until we remember them. All elements of the zone improvement are designed for active interaction. At night there is lighting from the ground sphere lamps.

The quiet recreation zone is a part of the section from the south and the west sides. On this area there is paving from granite tiles. Also there are benches from metal and concrete. Existing ventilation is decorated with green walls. On the eastern side of the site there is bicycle parking.

The project includes the possibility of moving of persons with impaired mobility: the width of the main roads is not less than 1.5 m, the coverage of the recreation zone and alleys is hard. The main alley leads to the yard facade of Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration, where the elevator is planned to be built.
