A complete form-based effort, the entire building model was developed in 3D to explore the spaces and see the result of our efforts in the 3rd dimension itself. Roof levels were fixed keeping in mind ease of use of the respective space. Natural lighting was the ruling factor in arranging the spaces together.

The stark white simplicity complements very well with the green surroundings. Simple small spaces like balconies & walkways allows one to enjoy the (receding) green cover of Bangalore. Simple lines and muted design elements add “joy” to the building.

Ashwin Architects

Ashwin studied architecture at R V College of Engineering, India then went abroad to do his masters in construction management at Virginia Tech. On returning to India he established Ashwin Architects in mid – 2003 with the express intention of Bridging the Divide that exists between people’s perception of their personal spaces & the stark reality of the buildings coming up in our urban jungles.

Ashwin framed a philosophy and design language since the day he started and made it a point to keep this as the firm’s design language. Experience lies in holistic designs for individual residences, bungalows, development of housing layouts, apartment complexes, commercial complexes and gated communities. As architects in Bangalore, the firm transcends the divide between contemporary architecture and the cultural context which they are set in.
