Covid -19 has clearly brought the world to an unanticipated pause. Our lifestyles are changing and so our spaces. Compare and contrast the urban scenarios pre and post Covid-19 using sketches. Use your imaginations to the max and try to bring out different perspectives and possibilities!

Entry open to architects, artists, designers, sketchers and students.

Through this Urban Sketching Competition, Rethinking The Future honors the sketching enthusiasts, celebrating varied visual styles and interpretations.

The Competition is inclusive and we welcome the full-time professional sketchers and the keen amateurs also.

How can I pay the registration fee?

There’s no Registration Fee for the competition.

How should I register for the contest?

No need to register, submit your entry on RTF website. Submission Deadline: 10 May 2020, 4 pm IST.

How can I submit entries?

Each applicant can upload the entries on the Submission Page here.

How many sketches can one applicant submit?

A maximum of 3 individual sketches can be submitted by the applicant.

Is there a chance to modify my uploadings?

Yes, to update your entry, you can re-submit before the deadline.

Who are eligible applicants?

This contest is open to individuals only. No teams or companies’ sketches are going to be accepted.

What are the criteria for the assessment that the jury is going to take into consideration?

The jury is going to consider the following aspects of assessment:

  • Concept
  • Artistic values and merits
  • Technical implementation

Is the jury’s assessment open to the public?

No, it isn’t. Applicants not selected for the finals are not going to be notified about the details of the jury’s assessment.

What are the technical parameters for the Sketch?

Sketches submitted must be max. 5 MB jpg format RGB images. Files are to be named in a format as follows: Sketcher’sName_UrbanPlaceName_City (without diacritics), e.g.: ManishKumar_BhadraPalace_Ahmedabad.jpg.
