Bielsko-Biala is a city located in the South of Poland. It is an automotive and transport centre. The city is a tourism hub in the Bielsko region. The city lies in the foothills of the Carpathian mountains. Initially, the area had two separate towns on each side of the Biala river, which are now merged into one city. The original settlement developed to what it is today through its textile production. Today the city is an important industrial centre.
