It is located 60 km from Buenos Aires city and has one of the most important Universities in the country, the National University of La Plata. It is perhaps one of the most recognized worldwide for its marked layout, “sister” to Barcelona and born to rival Buenos Aires. Born at the end of the 19th century, it was also a sample of the booming economy of Argentina at that time.
