Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in Europe and in the world, which was continuously inhabited. Later, Ottoman rule in the city influenced the city’s architecture, arts, and culture with the Ottoman style, followed by Byzantine Revival Style, Art Nouveau, and Secession Style. The dawn of the 1900s brought with it the modernist style, and by the 1950s, the city saw a rapid rise in the brutalist style. Belgrade is widely known for its brutalist architecture by architects in Belgrade.
