Kothi Bhopal is a Party House located in the city of Bhopal, surrounded by lush green farms. It is designed to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for people of all age groups during their stay. The main objective of the design was to reimagine and reinterpret the traditional concept of a courtyard, which is a significant space in Indian households, and incorporate it into the party pad. The aim was to establish a strong connection between each area of the house and the surrounding landscapes. During the construction process, great emphasis was placed on environmental preservation, ensuring the protection and conservation of existing trees within the premises. The house is oriented towards the east, following Vastu principles, and features a fusion of modern and traditional elements.

Upon entering, visitors are greeted by huge walls, Foxtail Palms, and Conocarpus trees that obscure the view of the property. A small entry and a narrow passage surrounded by bamboo create a sense of curiosity, leading to the garden area with a swimming pool. The main building block of the house is charcoal grey in color and incorporates oval-shaped windows, arches, Teracotta jalis, and a central plumera court, which serves as a focal point.

The lounge, corridor, and dining area surround this central space on three sides. Large windows and strategic orientation maximize natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting. The seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces facilitates easy movement during parties and the stay of residents. Kothi features two bedrooms and a 16- foot-high lounge area with oval-shaped glass windows on the east, allowing the property to receive maximum natural light and energy from the sun. Sliding folding windows in the north and west connect the built environment with the natural surroundings. Each room has a private garden space, enhancing the connectivity between the internal and external areas.

The design incorporates a balance between modern and traditional architectural elements, such as courtyards, arches, natural Indian stones, and jalis, along with contemporary materials like glass, steel, and concrete. The color palette used in both the interiors and exteriors includes traditional Indian hues like Teracotta reds, warm oranges, and earthy browns, combined with modern colors like greys and whites. The interior design incorporates a blend of traditional and modern elements, with furniture, artwork, and decor items that combine Indian motifs with contemporary designs. This combination creates a perfect oasis for relaxation and enjoyment in the Party House.
