Masquespacio unveils its latest project for Danzas Studios, a series of holiday apartments in Valencia.

The project for Danzas Studios draws inspiration from the street where it is located, aptly named Danzas (dances) in Old Town Valencia. From the outset, the aim was to create interiors that would transport guests to the essence of Mediterranean living, infused with a distinctly Valencian flair.
In pursuit of this goal, Masquespacio employed locally sourced materials, with terracotta tiles gracing the floors, benches, and headboards. Lattice bricks were utilized to define spaces or form part of living room tables, adding a touch of rustic charm. Another signature material, trencadis, found its way into the kitchen and on some headboards, echoing the region’s rich mosaic heritage.
To prevent the interiors from veering into an overly rustic or traditional aesthetic, Masquespacio injected a modern twist with unexpected elements like a silver curtain in the kitchen and tube lamps on the walls. Organic forms adorned the walls and artwork, serving as a clear nod to the contemporary Mediterranean style.
Warmth and comfort were achieved through the use of earthy-toned curtains and upholstery, while the apartments were also adorned with Mas Creations furniture, including the ‘Cono’ flower pots and U chairs. Additional pieces, such as custom-made lights and chairs crafted in ceramic and wood, were produced directly in the studio’s workshop, further enhancing the unique character of each apartment.
With this latest project, Masquespacio seamlessly blends traditional Mediterranean elements with contemporary design sensibilities, creating a series of holiday apartments that embody the spirit of Valencia and the authentic Mediterranean lifestyle.
