For this project, the biggest challenge was that the client was in a life transition and wasn’t sure about living in Brazil or moving abroad to dedicate herself to personal projects, so she opted to rent a place to live, instead of looking for something permanent.

Considering the uncertain staying horizon and the short time frame to move, there was the trial of fitting the quick execution into a limited budget.

During a lunch session, the decision to use a contemporary modernist style, that was a great fit with the client’s taste, was taken. The decision was reinforced as we evolved on the furniture research and the client got more and more engaged in the process.

Many of the pieces used were founded in galleries and vintage stores to identify original Brazilian design pieces that would be ready to use.

Having a good understanding of the client’s taste and working with different suppliers allowed this project to become a great living space to match the client’s life moment.

Rented apartments can be a good option without having to compromise on personality. Focusing on the right pieces of furniture can prove to be a great investment.

The architectural program is based on a small and integrated space, in about 130m² armoninzing living room, dining room and office area.

Different kinds of wood suplies were used, on the floor and in the furniture, to make the space more confortable. Soft and light colors were picket to compose a peacefull and clean apartment, taking advantadge of the good natural lighting coming from two big windows.
