The highlight of this home is its innovative use of materials—brick, concrete textures, and a range of woods like oak, walnut, and teak—that infuse warmth and character. Designed to be a cozy sanctuary for a family of four, every element has been carefully chosen to create an inviting atmosphere.
The project began with a straightforward yet profound brief: to design a cozy home with a raw, natural vibe. Starting with a bare-shell apartment, the design team transformed the space into a reflection of the family’s personality. Sustainable materials, natural palettes, and purposeful details were key in realizing this vision.
The living and dining areas serve as the heart of the apartment, featuring a delightful interplay of textures and materials. A swing divides the space, offering both function and playfulness. A Pichwai painting serves as the room’s focal point, paired with a custom semi-circular console table. A concrete-textured arch separates the living and dining areas, framing a live-edge solid teak wood dining table accompanied by a sleek wooden bench. Timeless furniture from Fleck India enhances the natural aesthetic, while exposed brick cladding adds depth and texture to the room.
The master bedroom carries the theme of natural elements with a wardrobe featuring jute sheet infills and a bed that complements the overall design. An exposed brick wall creates a striking focal point, imbuing the room with character and warmth. A cozy seating nook extending into the balcony offers a serene retreat for relaxation.
The kids’ bedroom introduces playful teal accents, contrasting with the industrial charm of exposed concrete. Arched wardrobes and linear upholstery add sophistication, while the vibrant colors create a cheerful and energetic space.
The guest bedroom is adorned with Indian motif wallpaper, lending a touch of traditional elegance. The temple area is enhanced with chevron-patterned wallpaper, bringing visual intrigue and harmony. This room echoes the project’s ethos of balance and comfort, ensuring guests feel welcome.
