The location of the showroom is INSTRUMENTAL. The long linear space spanning between two existing showrooms that belong to FCML defines a thoroughfare of sorts, a connection that permits unhindered flow of energies.

Termed as an “EXPERIENTIAL THROUGHFARE” this retail model allows clients to walk through a space that can be entered or exited from two ends and experience a numerous display of wood floorings via unconventional display methods.

The display of a material that can adapt itself to all kinds of surfaces was how it all started. Floors, walls and ceilings too, the trick was the display and how to prevent it from crossing the boundary between subtle and imposing. Cleverly supported with hidden display panels on sliders and drawers that conformed to a flat display of wooden planks, the design respected the brief of MAXIMUM, INTENSIVE DISPLAY WITHOUT BEARING DOWN ON THE VISUAL APPEAL.

Consisting of two extreme Start and End bays and three intermediate bays, the design adheres to a UNIQUE CONFIGURATION OF SPACE. Each bay maintains its focus via the display of wood patterns juxtaposed with options in varied colors of woods.

Lifestyle elements have been added to bring in a strong sense of warmth. Large transparent glass doors with wooden frames mark the entry and exit points. Greenery has been used to break away from the wood.
