Solvaree Villa Amphawa Resort is the private resort located in Amphawa district, Samutsongkram, Thailand. Since the site is hot and humid being near the Mae klong river, that way we aim to design the resort that can tackle the main theme of Solvaree, (“Sol” means soul and “Varee” means water so being the soul of river and its community rooted in naturalism and sustainability, by integrates a range of eco friendly strategies such as involves the use of locally sourced natural materials like sea grass and bamboos which not only infuses the architecture with an organic aesthetic but also reduces the project’s carbon footprint from material transportation.

As this project is determine toward Sustainable architecture, sustainable criteria are involved in design considering. Energy efficiency take part in the design thinking by use vernacular space design to create air chamber space to collect the wind ventilation on the roof chamber of the villa including use thermal mass to keep cool temperature inside the building in hot climate and reduce use of air conditioning during the day also provide solar panel at the top of the roof to generate the power energy to the building.
Landscape design also play significant role for this project as the landscape is the key to connect the villa building together by create pathway and connecting deck including common open interacting space between the villa to set as a place for guest’s interacting activities and influence or convince the habit of the guest to spend more time with nature outside the villa.
We are utilizing just a quarter of the entire land area, the remaining 75% is exclusively designed for the cultivation of native plants. Beyond the ecological benefits, this endeavor are not just enhancing the visual appearance of the surrounding but also play a role in mitigating heat and fostering clearer wind. Natural elements coalesce in perfect harmony, creating a revitalizing and eco-conscious atmosphere.
For overall context, it shows that the Solvaree Amphawa Villa Resort and Wellness dream to be natural sustainable resort and wellness center that focus on being friendly with environment and maintaining the villa building design to achieve the sustainable goal and welcoming the guest to feel calm and peaceful, act as sanctuary where nature and freedom intertwine with holistic wellness practice, create support-healing, sense of peace and well-being place.
