However, Tiger Woods himself provided a description of the practice space in a blog post on his website in March 2011. The practice facility was a product of Tiger Woods Design, according to Woods, who wrote that he was “very soon” moving into the Jupiter Island residence. Woods penned:

“Working with my team, I designed the short-game facility and oversaw its construction. It features four greens, six bunkers with different depths and kinds of sand, a video center and a putting studio. If no wind is blowing, the longest club I can hit is a 7-iron. It’s also set up so I can hit shots out of my second-story studio.”

The four greens each have a unique contour, and turfgrass management techniques are in place to enable for precise control of green pace. Around the facility, several turf kinds are used to simulate various playing environments. In various places, the turf is maintained at both rough and fairway heights. It permits practice of every imaginable shot of 150 yards or fewer and features a “wedge range”.

The use of environmentally friendly methods is TGR Design’s aim. To make use of untapped brackish water, the Jupiter Island Practice Facility was constructed. It is non-potable, pumped from a depth of more than 1,200 feet, and filtered at a nearby reverse osmosis factory. By doing this, significant water is saved annually and the water is safe for turf grasses and landscaping elements.

In order to enhance distance management from the fairway and rough, the facility also offers a “wedge range” where shots from 85 to 145 yards can be repeatedly practiced. To practise scoring, four putting greens can be used as various par-3 short courses.

Cost

One of the priciest residences on the barrier island is Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Island residence, for which Woods took out a mortgage in late 2010 totaling more than $50 million. According to Forbes, the sale price of $40 million in 2006 was the highest on Jupiter Island up to that moment. Some of the most well-known and prosperous people in the world reside on Jupiter Island, according to Lichtenstein. “Price ranges start as low as $2 million for a cheap tear-down lot and go up to $65 million.” Bill Gates, Celine Dion, and Greg Norman are a few more celebrities that own homes close to Woods’ Jupiter Island residence.

According to AOL Real Estate, Woods invested an additional $15 million in the estate after buying it for the reported $40 million (and, up until their divorce, Elin Nordegren as well). The main house is said to have his-and-her master bathrooms, three additional bedroom suites, a gym, a media room, a wine cellar in the basement, and its own elevator. On the property there is also a detached garage and a separate guest cottage. Tiger Woods’ yacht, the Privacy, can reportedly be moored on the Intracoastal side of the residence if Woods so chooses.

Foundations

In 2011, Woods moved into the house. However, there were issues with the mansion in 2013, and numerous press reports claimed that the Jupiter Island house was sinking. Indeed, sinking!

Given Florida’s soil characteristics, foundation issues can affect even the very rich. According to reports, Woods began observing wall fractures and doors that got “sticky” as door frames moved. He hired engineers, who suggested stabilizing the house by placing deep pilings beneath it. Yes, even the very wealthy must cope with home repair issues.

Activities

A 30-meter swimming pool, an outdoor basketball court, and a tennis court are available for the father of two children to spend lots of time playing with his kids. There is also an apparently limitless variety of activities. Also included are the previously stated divided housing portions, a sizable boathouse with a mooring for his boats, and a glass bridge that connects them.

Training | Tiger Woods House

Returning indoors, one will discover an oxygen treatment area for Woods to unwind and unwind after a strenuous practice or competition, which is something that every professional athlete needs. This also implies that he can have his coaches, trainers, and medical advisors attend to him at home while receiving the professional sports training he needs. In addition to a range of weights and treadmills, his subterranean media room has a private movie theatre where he can watch Netflix and play games.

The house is very spacious, with features like magnificent white stone columns and dark hardwood floors. There are three other opulent bedroom suites in addition to his own spacious master bedroom in case he has to welcome any further guests. A sizable dining room area and a fireplace are also included. But don’t stop there—more there’s to come! Along with a guest home, there is also a stand-alone garage housing the champion’s impressive collection of Cadillacs, Buicks, and Lamborghinis.

Despite getting divorced from his ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010, Woods has managed to focus on his golfing career and open The Woods, his own restaurant next to the estate. Customers at the sports bar may dine like a champion while choosing from a wide variety of dishes and alcoholic beverages with an American flair. He’s not the only notable athlete having a restaurant on Jupiter Island, either. Michael Jordan is an entrepreneur and former NBA champion who also operates a sports bar and restaurant in the neighbourhood named 1000 North. Maybe the brilliant minds of champions share ideas.
