Located in Moscow’s Slava residential complex, this 28 m² studio was designed as a flexible rental apartment where a compact footprint becomes an opportunity for thoughtful spatial organisation.

The main challenge was to accommodate all the functions of a full-size home within a single room while preserving a sense of openness and visual calm. The layout is based on scenario-based zoning, incorporating a kitchen, dining area, living room with a fold-out sofa and TV, as well as a dedicated sleeping area with a full-size bed.
Rather than dividing the apartment with permanent walls, a lightweight textile partition separates the sleeping area. It allows the space to transform throughout the day: remaining open and connected during daytime, and becoming more private and intimate in the evening. The soft textile texture also contrasts with the precise geometry of the built-in architecture, adding warmth and a subtle theatrical quality to the interior.
As the apartment is located on the second floor with windows facing the courtyard, particular attention was given to creating a bright and visually spacious atmosphere. A light base, reflective surfaces and carefully selected natural materials help amplify the available daylight and make the compact interior feel more generous.
Storage is integrated into the architecture, primarily concentrated around the entrance and supplemented by built-in solutions in the kitchen and utility areas. This approach keeps everyday objects out of sight and allows the interior to maintain a clean, coherent appearance.
The material palette combines practical and tactile elements: porcelain stoneware, mirrored surfaces, natural wood textures and granite are complemented by expressive textile accents and carefully selected furniture. A custom dining table, seating by Delo Design and a fold-out sofa by Annki Studio were chosen to balance functionality, compactness and visual lightness.
The result is an adaptable interior that demonstrates how 28 m² can accommodate different scenarios of everyday life without sacrificing comfort, character or a sense of space.
