When we were approached to design the Janpath outlet of A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan), we knew it had to be more than a dining hall. In other cities, the brand’s presence often leans towards quick service, but Delhi’s audience thrives on immersive experiences. Our aim was to create a space that doesn’t just serve food, it tells a story.

The journey begins at the entrance, under the calm gaze of Lord Venkateshwara, setting a tone of welcome and sanctity. Inside, motifs like the lotus and banana tree deeply rooted in South Indian tradition, find their place on a storytelling wall.

Carved wood details and warm tones connect every space, from the entrance door to the washrooms, ensuring continuity.

A pastel-toned hand-painted mural evokes coastal South India, reinterpreted with a modern lightness. Contemporary furniture and clean layouts balance tradition with comfort, while natural textures keep the design grounded.

Here, culture isn’t a backdrop — it’s the very structure. This is South India, translated into space, and placed right at the heart of Delhi.
