Wooden wooden highlights and shades of grey with Indian stone cladding have been used to infuse this space with warmth. Since the design was conceived after the finalised house layout, it presented the challenge of crafting an engaging visual composition within the given constraints. This was tackled by deconstructing the façade and boundary wall’s linearity through a thoughtful interplay of materials, volumes, levels, and lighting.

Positioned centrally along the long elevation, the entry is marked by a striking louvred portal that disrupts the linear design and adds a sense of grandeur. The pergola above the entrance enhances the spatial dynamic with its interplay of light and shadow, creating ever-changing patterns on the floor. Over time, climbing bougainvillaea will adorn the pergola, infusing colour, character, and charm into the entrance.

The façade concept emphasises the volumetric composition of balconies, employing a palette of greys and blacks across varying materials and textures, accented with warm wood finishes in the ceilings. A three-dimensional visual rhythm is achieved through varied balcony designs and material treatments, while sleek metal edge profiles along the slab levels enhance the sharp, modern outline. The wooden soffits inject warmth, creating a balanced aesthetic. Carefully designed lighting enhances the composition, accentuating materials, textures, and the landscape.

The exterior design extends this cohesive aesthetic, with the boundary wall and gate reflecting the same palette as the façade for a unified visual scheme. Open spaces for year-round accessibility have been thoughtfully amplified in the landscape, with a central garden and long driveway anchoring the layout. Varied levels—achieved through steps, raised beds, and tiered planters—add depth and dynamism. At the same time, textural contrasts like grassy lawns, rustic driveways, and large trees define pathways and create visual interest.

The planting scheme balances low-maintenance evergreen plants with vibrant seasonal flowers, ensuring year-round appeal. Grey Indian stone layers the concentric circles of the driveway with texture. Strategic lighting in the boundary walls, trees, and other vital elements blend the landscape with the architectural façade for a harmonious, integrated design.
