Located in one of Mexico City’s top residential neighborhoods, Casa Bugambilias underwent different adjustments since 1993; its major renovation, however, came in 2012 with Estudio Felguerez, a Young interior design firm owned by Architect Alejandro Felguerez.

The idea was to merge the original architecture of the house with contemporary design thus reflecting a sophisticated lifestyle that had evolved over the years. To this effect, open spaces and high ceilings were transformed into cozy, colorful ones
The lighting went from Halogen to LED and the designers introduced both vegetation and natural textures resulting in a whole new style and individual personality.
1.- The Living Room
Ligne Rose is one of the brands that stand out with the two sofas and the coffee table at the center. The colorful tapestry from Harald merges with different accessories by Alessi, and the art shown on the wall is by Armando Guerrero, a renowned contemporary artist from Oaxaca, Mexico.
Large Windows are decked with five-meter-long blinds from Lutron, thus beautifully mellowing daylight.
The pièce-de-résistance here is Ether, the six-meter-long luminary by Murano Due that enhances the living room and highlights the main entrance.
- The Terrace
The furniture, necessarily weatherproof due to Mexico City’s never-ending rainy season, is by Gloster, the brand with the top quality ideal for this Project.
- The Dining Room
Andrew World is the firm responsible for the marble top table, seating twelve, and the chairs, both elegant and comfortable.
- The Master Bedroom
The headboard and bedside tables are from Porro, and the tapestry, adding both contrast and a cozy atmosphere is by the well-known Mexican firm Pineda Covalin. Both the chairs and table by the window are from Ligne Roset. Tolomeo, the lighting piece belongs to the Italian firm Artemide.
Paintings on the wall are also by Armando Guerrero.
5.- The Guest Bathroom
Its wide space is enhanced by a vintage mirror from the 1970’s. The sink and faucets are by Hangsgrove. Other important brands used in this project where Riva 1920, Flexform, Troll, Flos and Oluce.
