East 11th Street is the cultural spine of a dynamic and diverse East Austin neighborhood, lined with a lively mix of locally owned shops, restaurants, and businesses. Situated at the corner of 11th and Navasota, 1211 East Eleventh marks the eastern gateway of this pedestrian-oriented corridor, overlooking the green expanse of the Texas State Cemetery where the neighborhood shifts from urban to residential.

The building’s design reflects this transitional setting. A brick-clad ground floor mirrors the scale and character of the adjacent historic restaurant, while two retail spaces activate the broad sidewalk. Above, tenant offices are housed in a box-rib metal-clad volume, carefully oriented to capture views of the serene landscape to the east. Parking is discreetly located beneath the raised rear portion of the structure.

A trellised terrace at the northwest corner softens the building’s massing. Lush plantings draw attention to the upper level, fostering a connection between street life and skyline. Open to all tenants, the terrace offers a welcoming space for casual gatherings, outdoor meetings, or lunch with a view.

The building embraces an intentionally raw aesthetic. Exposed steel framing and straightforward, durable materials express the creative energy that defines East Austin.
