Alvaro Siza Vieira is a Portuguese architect and architectural educator. His works can’t be comprise in few words but I have tried to let you know about his 15 works.

The Leça Swimming Pools were one of Alvaro Siza’s first solo projects. Siza was careful to preserve a large portion of the existing rock formations when planning his modern interventions into the landscape.  The pools he created reach out into the ocean and blend easily with the natural pool formations along the coast of the Atlantic.

At the Expo ’98 Portuguese National Pavilion, structure and architectural formwork in graceful harmony. Situated at Tagus River in Lisbon, Portugal, the design designed by Alvaro Siza is an enormous and impossibly thin concrete canopy, between two mighty porticoes and framing a commanding view of the water.

It was Alvaro Siza’s first completed building outside of Portugal. Before the building’s construction, the site held several single-story retail stores. The building was constructed as social housing primarily for Turkish immigrants to Germany.

It is currently the tallest residential building (and second tallest building overall) in the Netherlands. Consist of a residential area with swimming pool, saunas, and gym for residents as well as a commercial area with cinema Lantaren Venster.

Exhibition and sales hall at the Revigrés factory site near Águeda. The Revigrés Commercial Building (which includes an exhibition hall, auditorium and offices) designed by Alvaro Siza was inaugurated in 1997 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Revigrés.

10. Auditorium of the University of the Basque Country | Alvaro Siza

It houses the auditorium of the UPV / EHU, complementing the Library of the University of Deusto, designed by Rafael Moneo. With an L shape, its main façade is covered with hand-made gray tiles, highlighting the rest in white marble. Surrounding the building, in addition to the library, the Iberdrola Tower, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, and Euskadi Square.
