Interior LP project fulfils the needs of a young couple to remodel the interior space of an apartment of about 80sqm, creating an environment suitable for their every day and working life. The unit is located on the first floor of a newly built residential complex in the historic centre of Castelfranco Veneto.

Spatial remodelling has mainly affected the service areas by updating the functional space dedicated to the main bathroom/laundry room and adding a small service bathroom attached to the master bedroom. The main room, which overlooks the outdoor terrace, is an open space where the living/ kitchen/study area is developed and blend together and is expanded through the elimination of a corridor.
The project involves the design of custom-made furniture that use neutral colors and favour the material experience, maximizing the containment and hierarchizing the interior space without occluding it, exalting the natural light coming from the large windows.
The interior design is characterized by references to Eastern minimalism, in memory of the couple’s life in Southeast Asia.

PAOLO DIDONE, DEVVY COMACCHIO
Didoné Comacchio Architects works in different scales of architectural practice with a provision for material and sensory experimentation, applying a design philosophy whereby the potential of the context is considered the origin of the research process. The incipit of design processing is reading and reinterpretation, in which the result is an artefact, a concept that completes the basic initial condition, making the project staged the reality in which it is inserted. The interventions are declared through the use of a few but clear architectural gestures that become an amplification of the project choices.
Among the projects of greatest importance are the “Montessori” nursery school of San Felice sul Panaro and the
temporary school gym of Massa Finalese realized in the post-earthquake competitions in Emilia Romagna.
Paolo Didonè was born in Bassano del Grappa in 1983. In 2007 he graduated in Architettura per la Città at IUAV (Venice) and began a collaboration with Sergio Pascolo Architects. In 2009 he started his own office in Rosà, in the province of Vicenza, and in 2013 he founded Didonè Comacchio Architects with the architect Devvy Comacchio. In 2013 Paolo Didonè was selected for the “Premio Federico Maggia” for which he created the “Be Water” installation. In 2014 he was selected in the international competition “Call for Architects Under 30” by Casabella magazine.
Devvy Comacchio was born in Singapore in 1982. In 2007 he graduated in Architettura per la Città at IUAV (Venice) and worked for Benetton Retail Department until 2009 developing interior projects for the customer and group-owned sales points. At the same time, he takes care of the “special projects” of the group such as the new US office and the redevelopment of parts of productive/managerial buildings. From 2010 to 2013 he collaborates with Italian and international architects dealing with the recovery of religious buildings and new offices for public administrations. In 2013 he founded the Didonè Comacchio Architects with the architect Paolo Didonè.
