I just communicated with you, me reader via typography. Our means of communication have been well defined for years. It’s based on our five senses i.e. vision, smell, auditory, sensory, and vocal. These senses transcended into languages that evolved into a script based on the geopolitical and social circumstances of a place. A script has to be documented or passed vocally. If documented, a community ends up with a typeface Thus subconsciously a human brain recognizes different typefaces and has different emotions attached to each one. Cibreo is a geometric sans serif typeface, made to be extremely clear and readable while keeping a modernist, straight look. Taking its name from a traditional Italian recipe, it aims to be the added ingredient to make unique text blocks and savory designs. It can be used for descriptive paragraphs and subtitles.

2. Cocogoose

Cocogoose is a geometric San serif typeface with straight and monolinear lines and circular or square shapes. The strength and modernist are softened by the rounded corners and slight visual corrections. This makes this font a perfect vehicle for logos and headings. In addition, it makes it easy to read long paragraphs.

The new cultural and modern fusion brought back in the spotlight via The Black Panther Movie. It is perfect for design purposes especially headings and poster designs. This font can be used to depict culture in all variants of architecture because the font itself is a combination of various glyphs from Africa.

4. Degular

Oh, No type company released this typeface, earlier in March 2020. Degular, at first looks at the very conventional font, yet after a split second it’s an unorthodox font. It’s a Sans Serif typeface yet its curves and sharp slashes subconsciously look like proper serifs. Thus, it’s a very bold font that pushes boundaries and limitations for a  Sans Serif font. It can be used for headings and subheadings, yet its thin version can be used for long paragraphs.

5. Coves | Architectural Font

A free for use font featured by regular curves, ideal for titles, and logo design. It includes two weights, light and bold. There’s a certain play on coolness that this font displays. Its fine-drawn and precise curves keep it subtlety alive and kicking. Descriptive long passages can be made readable. It can be used to keep the reader’s vision for long hours.

6. Gilroy

A Moderns Sans with a geometric touch. It’s suited for graphs, signages of all kinds. It can be used for descriptive as well as graphic use. Its bold version comes off very punchy and displays one message very clearly, due to its clean geometry.

This geometry helps furthermore when this font is stacked for long descriptive paragraphs also, as the eye is never disturbed with any irregularity.

7. Dodge

If Gilroy followed all the rules of geometry, Dodge notoriously broke all of them.

Dodge breaks, grows at the point that continuously irks the reader. This makes it a very good Heading font, plus its resemblance to comics, always keeps it trending. Using this will subconsciously make the reader focus on a few words, making emphasizing a few points an easier job.

8. GT Walsheim Pro

GT Walsheim is a friendly yet precise typeface. It visually exclaims that with its bold points and concise geometry. It will get a point across yet will never seem imposing. Thus using it in subtitles and key points will help any user to convey any point across with all due respect for the authority/client.

9. Helvetica Now

The name says it all, the font is here to rule now, again. Helvetica was the “Apple “ font for so long, yet it’s so much more. It balances classics and still molds into the new hip urban fabric of today. Its proportions still hold the same clarity, neutrality, and simplicity. These were the watchdogs of good font back in 1957 when this font was born and stands strong to date.

10. Univers

Another historic architectural font that has stayed in relevance forever. Univers family were the headlines when a man landed on the moon, they’re all across apple keyboards and used in metro station signage worldwide. Thus it’s a proven font and can be used anywhere on the display board without any inconvenience.

11. Financier Display

Serif fonts usually aren’t the go-to fonts for architects cause the offset and extensions tend to disturb the minimalism phase that the architectural scape currently. Financier displays dull down that fact and maintains its clarity throughout. Originally designed for the Financial Times newspaper, this font has appeared in publications and billboards proving its mettle. Thus it can be a font to be used for formal and corporate settings.

12. Breton | Architectural Font

It is a slab serif font, which takes inspiration from constructivism, in its structures and towering glyphs. It has its own unique rhythm making it versatile and composed simultaneously. It can be used for retro-themed yet urbane contexts. Its bolder versions can be used for taglines and graphics.

Punchy and sharp from the get-go. It’s the new Lemon Milk (p.s. an iconic through the early party of this century, constantly appears in Youtube thumbnails). This font catches the eye in split second, yet maintains a certain composure subconsciously. The edges and vertices act as serif, optimizing it for iconic paragraphs and titles.

14. Moon 2.0

Rounded glyphs and vertices have a naturally calming feeling on the reader. This is exactly what this font does. There is a certain mystic yet urbane vibe attached to this. It can be used for futuristic projects while keeping empathy and a certain degree of connection.

15. Cabin and Raleway

Last architectural font but not least Cabin and Raleway. The official google fonts which we usually see appearing in a lot of system UI. There is a certain class about Cabin, it clearly sends the message across and still stays aesthetic. Raleway is a friendly font that gives life to a character or even an icon box which creates bridges with the reader via words.
