Architecture and the economic sections of a society

Architecture acts as an economic weapon in a society. Architecture can affect different Economic sectors (real estate, commercial, residential, primary agriculture, fishing sectors, employment, etc.). Some examples of how architecture improves the economy and balances economic sectors can be: A hotel/restaurant with a good location with impressive architecture becomes a crowd-pulling zone, in contrast to a hotel/restaurant with a bad location with moderate architecture that attracts fewer people, reduces the economy, reduces job opportunities.

In similar cases, the knowledge about sustainability and green surroundings can spread across the city through architecture that can connect, spread awareness, and create balance among different economic sectors (landscape, ecology, etc.). On an urban scale, how can the economic value of a place be increased?

A park that is not maintained and used rarely, if redesigned to create a more lively atmosphere that can lead to economic sectors growing around these developed spaces. The quality of living and the economic value of a place can improve eventually. At an urban level, riverfront development projects increase the economy and balance among different economic sectors (therefore, increase in economy). The economic value of the place experience changes.

The Sabarmati Riverfront development has experienced development. The riverfront initially lacked maintenance and was in a poor state. After the design intervention was done by the architects, urban designers, etc., the place became a lively interaction zone that eventually increased economic value (A balanced economic development in different economic sectors such as retail, hotels, shops, and commercial sectors).

Architectural development is due to effort by many professions and people through a multi-disciplinary approach, which is similar to economic growth together. Architecture can create equal economic growth in different sectors. Architecture in these present days influences the environmental sector of society.
