The Fortitude Valley State Secondary College is the Queensland Government’s first true vertical school and the first new inner city high school built in 60 years. The campus actively extends beyond its physical boundary – in terms of how it invites the inclusive participation of the wider community into the college’s activity, program and use of key facility.

The proposal is strongly aligned with, and embraces the Education vision to create inclusive, student centred education and community facility which is responsive to individual student learning needs and encourages community engagement and use.
The site in the Fortitude Valley has a rich education history which can be drawn upon and interpreted in the design of the new secondary college; built environments that endure and are cherished by future generations reflect and responds to the unique history and stories of their place in our cities.
COX facilitated Enquiry by Design Workshops, Prepared material and participated in community consultation sessions, Minister briefings, Advisory Groups, providing dedicated team through to Tender Evaluations and currently Value Management.
