The design team worked with the client and stakeholders to resolve design and briefing requirements to ensure a design that builds upon the Sydney Harbour Ferries Upgrade Program. When designing the ferry hub, COX wanted to provide an aesthetic reflection of the maritime qualities of Sydney and its iconic harbour.

Barangaroo Ferry Wharf features a limited palette of robust materials that provide a public domain interface and a proven attitude towards maintainability. It was designed as two wharves, with the capacity to build a third wharf in the future.
